Cooking Instructions
Black Beans should ideally soak overnight before cooking- add one cup to three cups of water with a teaspoon of salt. If you don’t have a convenient place to soak the beans overnight, don’t worry! You can also quick soak the beans by boiling for 2 minutes and then resting them for 2 hours. This method can make the beans a little soft, so the overnight method is preferred. Once you’re ready to cook the beans, let them simmer for about 2 hours while stirring occasionally.
Storage
Black Beans should be stored in a cool and dry place. This maximizes the shelf life of your beans, and ensures they will be fresh when you need them.
