Emergency Preparedness Week: Plan, Prepare and Be Aware

As it is every year, Emergency Preparedness Week will be recognized across Canada from May 7 to May 13. This year, the theme is plan, prepare and be aware!

You can be aware, prepare and plan by keeping up to date on the current conditions in your area, such as the weather.

Another part of being aware is spreading the word! If we each consider it our personal responsibility to share our knowledge with others, do our research, and ask questions, our communities will organically be better prepared for emergencies.

It’s a smart idea to explore these pages further, and share them with your friends, family, coworkers and community members. If you’re inspired to take immediate action, a good step would be to begin collecting items for your survival kit, or simply purchase one that’s already been thoughtfully prepared for you!
